
Dr. Matthew McLain earned his B.S. in geology from Cedarville University before pursuing a Ph.D. in earth sciences at Loma Linda University. He is Associate Professor of Biology and Geology at The Master’s University, an adjunct professor at Loma Linda University, and a vertebrate paleontologist, with his research focusing on extinct animals including dinosaurs, pterosaurs, phytosaurs, and non-mammalian synapsids. He is the president of the Creation Biology Society and is a member of the Geological Society of America and the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology. His work has been published in various peer-reviewed journals. Dr. McLain and his wife, Jessica, have four children: Alaric, Cody, Iris, and Soren.
